Connor Nathe, M.D. — Ophthalmologist

Dr. Nathe is a comprehensive ophthalmologist born and raised in Yakima, Washington. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Washington where he studied neurobiology and graduated as the sixth Husky in his family (his little sister later becoming the seventh).  From there, he earned his medical degree at UC Irvine where he found his love for ophthalmology – a field that marries his deep curiosity for the brain and its extensions with his desire to effect visible change in the quality of life of his patients. Eager to return to the Pacific Northwest, he completed his surgical residency in ophthalmology at the University of Washington before joining Pacific EyeCare.

Dr. Nathe is passionate about maintaining the highest level of eye care that Pacific EyeCare represents. Having spent his residency at the University of Washington, Dr. Nathe was exposed to one of the busiest level 4 trauma centers in the country – Harborview Medical Center. This exposure was elevated by the opportunities of working at the world class UW Medical Center and the VA in Seattle.  These experiences allow him to help his patients achieve optimal vision through attentive clinical care and cutting-edge laser and surgical techniques, which are foremost to him. He is adept in the management of cataracts, corneal and surface pathology, glaucoma, retinal diseases, and more.  Dr. Nathe is a member of the Academy of Ophthalmology and is on staff at St. Michael’s Hospital.

Almost his entire family lives in Western Washington, he is therefore invested in being a part of the community and laying down roots on the Peninsula. His interests are many.  In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, running, exploring the mountains on a snowboard or in hiking boots, traveling, and maintaining his status as favorite uncle to seven nieces and nephews (and counting).
